Access to Apprenticeship

What is Access to Apprenticeship?

Access to Apprenticeships is a pathway to a full Apprenticeship.  The main difference is that you will be on a programme that does not require you to be in employment on the first day of your apprenticeship.  This exciting new pathway will provide help and support for young people aged 16-18 who need that little extra boost in moving into an apprenticeship in the Engineering & Business Administration Sectors.

What will I be doing?

All learners will work towards gaining an Apprenticeship Framework, which will involve you completing elements of the competence and technical knowledge requirements of your learning aim.  For Engineering you will train in our workshops and will receive basic skills in either mechanical, fabrication, welding, electrical and electronic engineering.  For Business Administration you will train in an office environment.
