Portable Appliance Testing Course
Portable appliance testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. The law requires that an employer ensures all electrical equipment is maintained in order to prevent danger. Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination but some defects can only be found by testing.
You do not need to be a qualified electrician to do this safety check. However, the person checking the equipment needs to be competent to perform this role. This half day practical and theory course will enable delegates to develop the confidence and competence in tackling these safety checks.
An OTC certificate will be issued upon completion of this course.
