First Class Results
The success rate for Oldham Training Centre apprentices is significantly higher than the national average.
Recent findings by Ofsted into the quality of work based learning at the centre show climbing success rates from 2006/07 to 2009/10.
The overall success rate of Apprenticeships rose from 75% in 2007/08 to 85% in 2008/09 and then 91% in 2009/10. For Apprenticeships ages 16 - 18, the figures are 71%, 80% and 89% respectively.
Barrie Cave, CEO, OTC, said: "These are excellent results. Apprenticeships offer an exciting opportunity for learners to enjoy the best of both worlds. They have the chance to earn while they learn."
The timely success rate for apprentices completing their programme is also higher than the national average.
In 2010, the timely success rate overall was 23% above the national average 17% above for Advanced Apprenticeships and 31% above for Apprenticeships.
