The AITT Novice Instructor course is for individuals who are looking for a career move and would like to become a registered AITT instructor
What’s covered?
This a 10-day course with a maximum of 6-delegates. The course is designed to meet the requirements placed upon employers with regard to their duties under the HEALTH and SAFETY AT WORK ACT 1974; the PROVISION and USE of WORK EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS 1998 (PUWER); the LIFTING OPERATIONS and LIFTING EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS 1998 (LOLER), as applicable and other relevant regulations and codes of practice.
Delegates will be trained in all aspects of becoming an AITT Instructor including the following:
- Principles of instruction
- Instructional techniques
- HASAWA 1974/PUWER 1998/LOLER 1998
- Setting up courses
- Administrating the test
How is the course assessed?
The course is assessed through multiple choice theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment.
Certification
Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an accredited certificate from the AITT.
