Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:30pm
Friday 08:30am to 2:30pm
The Job Role will entail:
Guttermaster Limited is offering the opportunity for a highly motivated person to join the Design team. You will learn a variety of tasks and skills related to this position including:
- Relevant national and industry health and safety standards and legislation relevant to aluminium for construction
- Engineering codes and standards
- Fundamentals of engineering and design
- Computer Aided Design (CAD), including 2D and 3D modelling
- General engineering/manufacturing mathematical and scientific principles, methods, techniques, symbols, and calculations as required for the range of systems supplied
- Knowledge of Aluminium and Steel alloy properties and their characteristics
- Determining client’s requirements through detailed analysis of construction drawings, bills, and verbal communications
- Liaise with architects, site and design managers
- Attend pre-contract design meetings
- Attend internal handover meetings
- Produce detailed CAD drawings for client approval
- Producing design work in accordance with project programmes
- Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Manufacturing and construction methods
- Assembly of engineered components
- Stocktaking
